Wigan Warriors head coach has opted to start Bevan French for the first time since his return from injury with young star Jack Farrimond dropping to the bench.
Since Bevan French’s return off the bench in the Challenge Cup Final, the question has hung over the Warriors about who will start alongside Harry Smith in the halves with Farrimond having been the answer for Wigan ever since.
That’s seen French utilised from the bench with Farrimond even switching to hooker in last week’s rampant win over York Knights, a role that he may well play off the bench today.
As for Hull FC, they confirmed the devastating news that young forward Will Kirby had suffered an ACL injury meaning he is one of three to drop out today for the Black and Whites.

Ethan O’Neill and Max Wood have both been recalled by their parent clubs, the former so that his hamstring injury can be treated. That means Tom Briscoe moves from wing to centre as Lewis Martin returns on the wing.
Fellow loanee Jeremiah Mata’utia drops to the bench as Herman Ese’ese is deemed fit enough to start at prop alongside former Wigan man Harvie Hill.
Zak Hardaker returns and plays in the second-row as Jed Cartwright drops to the bench with Hugo Salabio starting at loose forward.
