Leigh Leopards without star man for Wigan Warriors clash as team news locked in

Wigan Warriors

Wigan Warriors host Leigh Leopards in a repeat of the Round One epic and the team news for the game has been confirmed.

The two sides couldn’t be split after 80 minutes at the Brick Community Stadium back in February with the Leopards nicking it in golden point thanks to a Gaz O’Brien drop goal to secure a famous 1-0 scoreline.

Since then both sides have showed strong form with Wigan currently sitting second and Leigh in third, though the Warriors know they can go top of Super League with a win.

Hull KR could hit back tomorrow but it would mark the first time this year that Matt Peet’s side had topped the table at any point. A Leigh win would push them into second, leapfrogging their neighbours Wigan.

A crowd of over 17,000 is expected for the Battle of the Borough and both teams have now confirmed how they will line up.
