Wigan Warriors have been handed a major injury blow ahead of next week’s huge game against Super League leaders Hull KR.
Matt Peet will not have second-row forward Junior Nsemba available for the selection after the England international failed a Head Injury Assessment in the first half of Wigan’s game with Warrington Wolves.
Similar to last year in the Grand Final against Hull KR, the Wigan Warriors forward laid motionless on the floor. He thankfully got back to his feet but the medical team had seen enough and adjudged that Nsemba had shown concussion symptoms, meaning he failed his HIA.
That rules him out of next week’s game against Hull KR, a game that has been dubbed as a possible League Leaders Shield decider with Super League’s top two set to go head to head at the Brick Community Stadium.
That meeting comes next Friday and means Wigan Warriors have a key selection issue for the game.

We already know that Hull KR will be down one key man with the Robins’ playmaker Tyrone May suspended for the match, something that has prompted the loan of former KR man Rowan Milnes.
Whether Milnes will play or simply add to the training sessions is unclear but Wigan now have their own decision to make on who will play alongside captain Liam Farrell in the second row.
Sam Walters made his return from injury tonight against Warrington Wolves after missing the last eight games following a broken leg that he suffered in May.
Walters started the season as a second row option but has progressed to prop in plenty of games, although he could be who Matt Peet calls upon.
Wigan will also hope that they have Bevan French back for that game with the former Man of Steel named to the 21-man squad to face Warrington, albeit not selected to the matchday squad.
