Wigan Warriors have become the latest Super League side to reveal their squad numbers for the upcoming 2026 season with a number of key changes made.
It’s been another year of continuity for Wigan with only a handful of signings made and just a few players departing, meaning relatively little change in their squad numbers.
Liam Byrne, Harvie Hill and Tyler Dupree are among three of the big departures, however, the loan recalls of Sam Eseh and Tiaki Chan have covered those roles, as well as key signing Oliver Wilson.
Per reports, Wilson is set to miss much of the 2026 season after an injury in training and that possibly explains why he has been handed the number 21, as opposed to a more prominent or even starting number.
There is only one change in the top XIII with that being that Zach Eckersley takes the number two shirt with Abbas Miski moving to number 16.

Wigan Warriors confirm 2026 squad numbers
That means that the core of Wigan’s squad retains the same squad numbers with Bevan French and Harry Smith again set to wear six and seven.
Back-up half Jack Farrimond takes number 19 whilst recalled loanees Sam Eseh and Tiaki Chan wear 20 and 29 respectively.
Super League signings Jonny Vaughan and Dayon Sambou have been handed 31 and 32 whilst the club’s most recent signing, Finn McMillan, takes number 35.
The first chance for Wigan fans to see players donning their new squad numbers is this weekend when the Warriors travel to take on North Wales Crusaders in their first pre-season friendly.
