Wigan Warriors v Catalans Dragons team news as Peet makes key spine calls

Wigan Warriors boss Matt Peet pre-match

Wigan Warriors host Catalans Dragons tonight in Round 20 of Super League and the team news has now been confirmed.

Matt Peet’s side suffered a shock loss to Hull FC last week and they’ve been out of sorts of late with three defeats in five, however, they have been crippled by injury.

Those injury issues worsened in that defeat with full-back Jai Field failing a HIA and centre Zach Eckersley leaving the field with a lower leg injury, meaning they finished with Adam Keighran at full-back and Kruise Leeming in the halves.

Looking ahead to tonight, all eyes are on who will play full-back with young Noah Hodkinson a contender, as well as Eckersley who has been named despite Peet confirming severe bruising for the centre.

As for Catalans, it’s their first game since the official confirmation of Joel Tomkins as head coach. He’s already faced Wigan whilst in interim charge, taking them on in his first game as Wigan routed the 48-0.

Tonight should be closer and the team news has been confirmed.
