Wigan Warriors and St Helens have named their line-ups for this evening’s derby, which will round out the 2026 Magic Weekend.
The Warriors were dealt some major injury news earlier this week, with Bevan French, Noah Hodkinson, Liam Farrell and Luke Thompson all ruled out due to injury.
That meant that Matt Peet has made many changes for their clash with the Red Vee, as they look to go second in the table ahead of Wakefield and Warrington on points difference.
Jack Farrimond will partner Harry Smith in the halves, whilst Nathan Lowe replaces Hodkinson on the wing.
There is a boost for Wigan, with Ethan Havard being able to return in the starting pack. He starts alongside Kian McDermott, and it’s a very inexperienced bench with Shea O’Connor, Lukas Mason and Taylor Kerr among the substitutes.
Sam Eseh Jr is named at 18th man, whilst Oliver Partington moves to back row and Kaide Ellis returns to 13.
For Saints, they came away from their win over Bradford relatively unscathed, but still make changes with star hooker Daryl Clark returning to the side.
That allows Joe Shorrocks to return to loose forward and David Klemmer to move into the front row. Curtis Sironen is the man to drop out from last week’s side.
