Warrington Wolves v Leigh Leopards team news as Adrian Lam makes fitness calls on trio and Marc Sneyd returns

Leigh Leopards

Warrington Wolves host Leigh Leopards with the visitors looking to capitalise on St Helens’ defeat to Wigan Warriors as Adrian Lam’s side look to solidify their top four hopes.

Leigh are already one point clear of St Helens but a win would leave them three points clear with just two games to play, ahead of next week’s meeting against the Red Vee.

For Warrington, their slim play-off hopes have been kept alive after Wakefield Trinity lost but the Wolves would have to win all three of their remaining games and hope for other results to go their way.

Instead, today’s game is about putting pride back into the badge after shock defeats to Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils, with Wire the only Super League team to lose at home to Salford all season.

In what is their final home game of the season, Sam Burgess has now named his squad to take on Leigh Leopards.

It had been announced that Stefan Ratchford would retire at the end of the year and he plays his final home game for Wire, starting in the centres alongside Toby King with the Thewlis brothers on the wings.

Marc Sneyd returns to the halves alongside Leon Hayes with Danny Walker completing the spine.
