Leigh Leopards host Warrington Wolves in Super League Rivals Round and the team news has now been confirmed with both head coaches having to make changes on account of injury.
The two sides will meet once again in the Challenge Cup semi-finals in early May where a spot at Wembley is on the line but for now, it’s a valuable two competition points in Super League.
A win for Warrington would see them leapfrog the Leopards and move into the top six with the Wolves currently sitting in eighth after suffering defeat at the hands of Hull FC last week. As for Leigh, they sit in sixth and could move into third with a win.
Adrian Lam’s side will be without centres Umyla Hanley and Tesi Niu but that’s not as devastating as the blow dealt to Warrington with Sam Burgess’ side confirming that captain George Williams is set for an eight to ten week layoff after requiring surgery on his ankle.
All eyes are on how Burgess will replace his captain and we now know with the team news for Leigh Leopards and Warrington Wolves confirmed.

Matty Davis is favoured as the interchange hooker once again with Ben McNamara serving as 18th man.

Sam Burgess has made his George Williams replacement call and shocked everyone by going with hooker Danny Walker, meaning Sam Powell gets the start at nine.
There is no place in the squad for Stefan Ratchford and no hooking option on the bench as Burgess names four powerful forwards there in Musgrove, Philbin, Crowther and Wood.
Ben Currie plays out of thirteen now that centre Toby King is back whilst Matt Dufty anchors the spine and could be called upon a lot given Williams’ absence.
