Warrington Wolves v Leigh Leopards’ Challenge Cup team news with Marc Sneyd call made

Warrington Wolves take on Leigh Leopards in the second men’s Challenge Cup semi-final and both coaches have now confirmed their teams.

Sam Burgess and Adrian Lam both have headaches due to injuries with Burgess certain to miss both George Williams and Danny Walker, with the pair of England internationals both going under the knife for ankle and knee issues.

Marc Sneyd has also missed out recently due to a fractured jaw but was named in the 21-man squad giving Wire fans hope, whilst Leigh also saw the likes of David Armstrong recalled to their 21-man squad.

These sides met recently in Super League with the Leopards winning that one in Rivals Round as part of their recent streak of five consecutive wins, some very strong form especially when compared to Warrington’s three losses in the past four.

Despite that, Warrington head into today’s clash as favourites with the bookmakers with the Wolves looking to return to the Challenge Cup Final after losing out to Wigan Warriors last year.

Hull KR await the winners after defeating Catalans yesterday, and now the Warrington and Leigh squads are in.
