The squads for Warrington Wolves and Castleford Tigers ahead of their clash on Friday night have been confirmed.
This game had initially been scheduled for Sunday but it was brought forward to ensure that Warrington have the same rest as their Challenge Cup Final opponents Hull KR, with the Robins hosting St Helens on Friday night as well.
Warrington and Hull KR will travel to Wembley next week with the 2024 and 2023 runners-up going head to head under the arches.
Hull KR head coach Willie Peters has suggested he won’t rotate but Sam Burgess might not have that luxury with several key players out due to injury, including both Paul Vaughan and George Williams who are both in a race to be fit for the game.
Wire enter on the back of a loss against Hull KR with opponents Castleford also coming off the back of a defeat, having lost to Leeds Rhinos at Wheldon Road on Saturday.
Warrington Wolves team news
Marc Sneyd and Sam Powell were both left out of Sam Burgess’ matchday squad last week.
Jordy Crowther (ankle) and Oli Leyland (knee) both left the field against Hull KR and the latter drops out with Connor Wrench another to drop out.
That sees Toby King and Paul Vaughan return with Vaughan’s inclusion a clear suggestion he will be ready for Wembley.
