Wakefield Trinity v Catalans Dragons predicted teams with forward pack boost for Trinity

Wakefield Trinity

Saturday night’s Super League instalment sees Wakefield Trinity host Catalans Dragons, with both sides looking to push towards the play-offs.

Wakefield sit just one point off the top six in seventh place, whereas the Dragons are five points adrift in ninth.

Whilst it might be a long shot for Catalans to make the six, a victory over Trinity would definitely help their quest, but they need to improve their points difference as much as possible.

Following the 21-man squad news during the week, here’s how we think Wakefield Trinity and Catalans Dragons will line up on Saturday.

Wakefield Trinity predicted line-ups

With Mike McMeeken and Caleb Hamlim-Uele back in the side, there’s set to be a couple of changes for Wakefield boss Daryl Powell.

Jake Trueman has suffered another setback as he has to sit out this week with a concussion.

That means Josh Rourke comes back into the starting line-up, with usual fullback Mox Jowitt moving into the halves to partner Mason Lino.

McMeeken is likely to go straight into the front row alongside Caius Faatlili in a pack reshuffle.

Jay Pitts moves back to his preferred loose forward role whilst Cam Scott and Harvey Smith drop to the bench.

Hamlin-Uele gets a spot as an interchange as he has recovered from shoulder nerve damage that’s kept him out of action since April.

Wakefield Trinity predicted XIII: Josh Rourke, Lachlan Walmsley, Corey Hall, Oliver Pratt, Tom Johnstone, Max Jowitt, Mason Lino, Mike McMeeken, Liam Hood, Caius Faatili, Seth Nikotemo, Josh Griffin, Jay Pitts.

Interchanges: Caleb Hamlin-Uele, Isaiah Vagana, Cam Scott, Harvey Smith.

Catalans Dragons predicted line-ups

The Dragons only made one change to their squad from last week as Chris Satae returns after serving a one-match ban.

It’s likely that he comes straight back into the starting line-up, having started every game under interim boss Joel Tomkins so far.

That means Romain Navarrete could drop to the bench, and Jordan Dezaria could miss out altogether.

Julian Bousquet and Franck Maria could also switch places, with Bousquet coming into the starting thirteen and Maria moving to the bench.

Catalans Dragons predicted XIII: Sam Tomkins, Tommy Makinson, Clement Martin, Leo Darrelatour, Nick Cotric, Luke Keary, Cesar Rouge, Chris Satae, Alrix Da Costa, Julian Bousquet, Paul Seguier, Bayley Sironen, Oliver Partington.

Interchanges: Tevita Pangai Jr, Franck Maria, Romain Navarrete, Denive Balmforth.
