Wakefield Trinity help out local Championship side with generous offer to fans

Wakefield Trinity

Wakefield Trinity have made their fans an incredible offer for the season ahead in a bid to help out a local lower-league side.

Trinity supporters will be able to use their season ticket to gain free access to every Dewsbury Rams home game this season, in what is set to be a profitable partnership for the Championship outfit.

Whilst there won’t be any income from ticket sales, the hope is that Trinity fans go along to the games and that will, in turn, increase attendances and boost matchday revenue.

The Rams have recently set up a sponsorship agreement with DIY Kitchens, who’s owner is also the owner of Trinity, Matt Ellis.

The deal will see an increased partnership between Dewsbury and Wakefield, and this ticket offer is one of the key factors in the deal.

The first game that Trinity fans can utilise this offer will be the Rams’ Championship home opener this weekend, where they face Keighley Cougars.

The thought is that, by bringing new fans through the turnstiles at Dewsbury, the club can then start to build on those attendances and become a more sustainable club.

Led by Paul March, the club finished fourth in the Betfred League One competition in 2025, and have entered the revamped second tier this campaign.

Their first league game saw them emerge victorious over local rivals Hunslet, as they secured a 20-12 win.

On Sunday, they were worthy winners again as they overcame a resilient West Hull side to secure a place in the Challenge Cup Third Round.
