IMG grades will be confirmed on Thursday but we already know how every team ranks on performance and which sides have made the biggest improvements, with Super League winners Hull KR having gained more than one whole point.
That’s no surprise given the season they’ve had as the treble winners have picked up 0.25 bonus points for their Challenge Cup win and a further 0.75 for Saturday’s Grand Final win. They’ve also improved from the third-ranked side to the second, meaning their performance score jumps up by 1.1143 points.
It means they rank first for performance by some way with last year’s top ranked side Wigan falling away on account of losing their Challenge Cup and Super League bonuses.
Performance is just one of five pillars that IMG grades are made up of, though it is the most valuable with five points up for grabs and Hull KR have claimed 4.8857 of them, topping the 35 professional clubs.
They’re also the most-improved in terms of their performance points but they’re not the only Super League club in the top five.

Super League winners among most-improved on IMG performance points
Leigh Leopards are actually second having jumped from the eight-ranked side to the third-ranked side due to the fact the three-year data cycle means their 2022 Championship win is no longer counted.
Instead, Leigh’s third-place finish from 2025 is counted and when paired with their previous fifth-place finishes in 2023 and 2024, it means their performance score ranks behind only Hull KR and Wigan.
Leigh aren’t the only team to improve by over half a point though with League One winners North Wales Crusaders jumping up the rankings after winning that competition, securing themselves a 0.1 point bonus.
Last year’s League One winners Oldham continue their progress having made the Championship play-offs whilst Bradford Bulls do as well with both sides improving by more than 0.34 points.
Most-improved clubs on IMG performance pillar
1: Hull KR – 3.7714 to 4.8857
2. Leigh Leopards – 3.2 to 3.7714
3. North Wales Crusaders – 0.3429 to 0.9
4. Oldham – 0.9 to 1.2569
5. Bradford Bulls – 2.1714 to 2.5142
