Toulouse Olympique confirm immediate signing of Canterbury Bulldogs forward

Toulouse Olympique have continued their recent string of retainment whilst also signing a new player as the French club look to solidify their squad for 2027 and beyond.

The French side have tied plenty of their top talents to new deal in recent weeks with the highlight being full-back Olly Ashall-Bott on a new long-term deal, whilst former NRL hooker Brendan Hands has also signed a new deal.

Now, the club have tied down outside back Luke Polselli to a new two-year deal but they’ve also made a permanent addition, signing French international forward Louis Grossemy until the end of the 2027 season.

Grossemy is Australian-born and was part of the academy system at both the Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs, the latter of whom he played for at under-21 level and in the NRL pre-season as well before joining Canterbury Bulldogs, from whom he has signed.

He’s now made the switch to Toulouse in a move that will see him represent his family’s heritage with Grossemy having earned his international debut last year.

Speaking on the decision to sign the 23-year-old, head coach Sylvain Houles said: “We’re delighted to have signed Louis, who will add real quality to our pack. He’s a French international and a highly athletic player who gives everything and never stops working. We’re looking forward to welcoming him to the club and getting started together.”

As well as signing Grossemy, Toulouse have confirmed that Luke Polselli will be staying at the club for a further two seasons with the former London Broncos man the latest to sign a new deal.

Polselli has played in the outside backs but also shown the ability to play in the pack with the Italian international scoring three tries in 11 games so far.

“I’ve absolutely loved my first six months here, and having the opportunity to extend my contract for another two years is a fantastic opportunity. I’m incredibly grateful to the club,” Polselli said.
