Toulouse Olympique have made their fifth signing ahead of 2026, and have brought in a South Sydney Rabbitohs forward.
Henry O’Kane will join Sylvain Houles’ side for next season, after inking a deal to link up with the French outfit ahead of their first season back in Super League.
A back rower who can also play loose forward, O’Kane is an Irish international who featured in the 2022 World Cup. He played for his nation against New Zealand, as they were defeated 48-10 at Headingley.
The 23-year-old has spent his senior career at the Rabbitohs, and whilst he has never made an appearance in the NRL, has featured regularly in the Bunnies’ reserve grade side over the past two season.
O’Kane has also spent time in the Cronulla Sharks ranks growing up, and has also featured for Newtown Jets and Western Magpies in his career.
Commenting on his move to France, the forward is looking forward to what will be playing club rugby in Europe.
He said: “I’m very eager to start training with the team. I’m really looking forward to meeting the lads and discovering French culture. I’m motivated by this new challenge in a new environment and I can’t wait to be part of the club’s return to Super League.”
Toulouse have not made nearly as many signings as the other two promoted sides, but they needn’t to, given they were all ready a full-time club. O’Kane joins Luke Polselli (London Broncos), Mathieu Pons (Oldham), Brendan Hands (Paramatta) and Tyler Dupree (Wigan – loan) in joining Houles’ 2026 squad.
He is likely to take the place of former St Helens man Dominique Peyroux, who left the club this 0ff-season after five seasons in the side.
