Burrow tribute
Last night in the PDC Darts Premiership Peter Wright wore a Leeds Rhinos’ themed shirt in tribute of Rob Burrow and to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease. This round of the competition was played in Leeds and the shirt is the latest in a long line of fantastic tributes to the Leeds legend.

Hodgson’s Easter selection solution
To most, Easter means chocolate eggs and the Easter Bunny but for Head Coaches in Super League it poses the task of two games in a short period putting strain on their squad.
For Hull FC there’s extra pressure as they face rivals Hull KR on Good Friday. So, how will Brett Hodgson tackle this? Well according to the Hull Daily Mail, he’s set to use the full depth of his squad to keep his players fresh for both games over the period.
Holroyd reveals return date
Leeds prop Tom Holroyd has revealed that he is still “a couple of weeks off” in an interview with The Yorkshire Evening Post.
Holroyd hasn’t played one minute of competitive action in 2022 owing to a pre-season injury but his return draws nearer and nearer.
Kear’s England assessment
John Kear has provided a unique assessment of one of his players Brad England in the Telegraph and Argus. He said: “Brad’s done well of late, but we all have different opinions, and those of coaches are different to those of the fans. As coaches, we’re looking at how players take on roles and responsibilities and I do think Brad is applying himself in a better manner than before.
“But he’s not the finished product just yet. He was magnificent for the first 65 minutes at London, but he was struggling in that last 15. He has certainly made progress over the last few weeks though.”
Lam catches the eye
Former Wigan Warriors boss Adrian Lam’s son Lachlan Lam shone in North Sydney’s 28-18 win over Western Suburbs in the NSW Cup.
The halfback’s kicking and passing were on point according to the Sydney Roosters’ website. Lam was linked with a move to Leigh ahead of 2022 to join up with his father in the race for Super League promotion but nothing came of it.
Barrow Raiders star his with huge ban
Former Hull FC and Toronto Wolfpack centre Hakim Miloudi is set to be hit with a huge ban.
Having been central to Barrow’s superb start to 2022, Miloudi is set to sit out for eight games or for two separate charges of hitting a player off the ball and attempting to move an injured player which has been rolled into one Grade F charge which carries a minimum punishment of eight games.
Will Pryce and Kia Pearce-Paul pursued by Newcastle Knights
According to Serious About Rugby League, Newcastle Knights are interested in Will Pryce and Kai Pearce-Paul after the huge success of Dom Young in the NRL this year.
The reports originated from down under with the Newcastle Herald and Zero Tackle reporting as such.
“Zero” chance of Flanagans to Leeds
Phil ‘Buzz’ Rothfield told Fox Sports that there was “zero” chance of both Shane Flanagan and his sone Kyle Flanagan joining Leeds Rhinos following Gary Hetherington’s trip down under to appoint a new Rhinos coach.
This came after Rothfield spoke with Shane Flanagan and he told The Daily Mail journalist that Kyle is simply on too much money to contemplate a move to Super League.
English NRL star Herbie Farnworth subject to Dolphins interest
Recently Kayln Ponga has been at the heart of a major transfer saga with the NRL’s newest club the Dolphins led by former England boss Wayne Bennett.
But he isn’t the only star Bennett has an eye on with a reported interest in Brisbane’s English centre Herbie Farnworth who has been superb in the opening games of 2022.
