Hull KR hooker Jez Litten is looking forward to a tough battle against Leeds Rhinos on Sunday as two of Super League’s most in-form sides go head to head at Craven Park.
Litten is expecting as tough a game as their previous encounter back in April when Rovers scored two tries in the last seven minutes to secure a 20-14 victory over the Rhinos.
Speaking to the media during the week, he feels that it’s going to be one of Rovers’ hardest games of the season so far.
He said: “When we played Leeds away, it was one of the hardest games of the season. I think they’re a really solid unit.
“Defensively, they work hard for each other, and they’ve got some real attacking threats, so it doesn’t come any bigger than this Leeds game.
“I’ve heard it’s going to be a sellout at home, so it’s going to be a great occasion. We’re expecting a play-off type of game against a top team, so we’ll be all guns blazing, and I’m sure they will be as well.”
Hull KR hooker states why he thinks the Rhinos have been so good in 2025
Litten was quick to compliment fellow hooker Jarrod O’Connor, who’s been one of the Rhino’s standout performers in 2025.
However, the Hull KR hooker feels that Leeds have so many quality players across their entire squad, that it’s hard to highlight just one player.
He finished: “He’s (O’Connor) an aggressive player and he leads the line for Leeds, so he’ll be flying out at our boys and putting all the tackles in. I’ll just expect a tough, solid performance from him like he has been doing all year.
“You can’t just focus on just one or two players because they’ve got talent all across the park. I think it’s going to take one to seventeen to be fully at it this week to get the win.”
