Following the 18th edition of Super League Magic Weekend, it’s time to update the all-time table for the annual event.
With just seven teams having competed in all eighteen editions of Magic Weekend since its introduction in 2007 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, there is one team that stands out amongst the rest as having the superior record and perhaps one of the more unexpected sides too.
That club is the Huddersfield Giants, having played in all 18 Magic Weekends, their 12-10 victory over Hull FC on Sunday was not only their first win of the 2025 Super League season but was also their twelfth win at the event. Along with one draw, that gives them twenty-five points from eighteen games, dropping just eleven points.
Wigan Warriors‘ victory over Warrington Wolves has meant the Warriors leapfrog the Wolves into second place on twenty-two points, still three points behind Huddersfield.
Following wins for Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR, the sides have moved up to fourth and fifth in the all-time table, tied on twenty points along with Castleford Tigers. Both Rovers and Tigers have missed one year of Magic Weekend due to relegation to the Championship, whereas Leeds have played in the event every year.
With losses for St Helens and Catalans Dragons, they remain on nineteen and seventeen points respectively.
Arguably, the lowest-ranked side to have played in all eighteen Magic Weekends is Hull FC, registering just seven wins. Another poor performance saw them lose for the second year on the bounce against the team at the bottom of the league at the time.
Playing in all but one of the eighteen events, Wakefield Trinity and Salford Red Devils sit on twelve and ten points respectively. However, both sides had varying results in the 2025 edition, with Trinity beating local rivals Castleford 32-8 and Salford on the losing end of a 54-0 scoreline against Hull KR.
Of all the current Super League sides, Leigh Leopards are ranked the lowest. Having only played in five Magic Weekends, they have three wins so a 60% win record is better than most teams who’ve competed every year.
