The 133 NRL off-contract players currently available to Super League clubs including internationals and State of Origin stars

Super League clubs are starting to step up their recruitment drives for the 2026 season and most will be keeping an eye on NRL developments. A number of signings have already been made for next season but few have been announced with Hull KR and Hull FC being the busiest from what we know so far.

Retention decisions are still to be made, of course, and that promises to dictate just how much room Super League sides have for overseas signings, but they’ll all be monitoring the market, especially with quota rules potentially set to change heading into next season.

The changes proposed would see players who have been in Super League for six years or more come off the quota, allowing some clubs to make more signings from the Southern Hemisphere. As such, there could be a much bigger focus on overseas recruitment heading into next season and according to Zero Tackle, there’s 133 NRL players still without a deal for next year.

A number of those players have already been linked to Super League clubs, with Adam Reynolds reportedly being of interest to Hull KR and Jackson Hastings being linked with Leeds Rhinos recently.

Daly Cherry-Evans, Josh Papalii and Jake Clifford are among those who have seen Super League moves rumoured, too, as clubs look to get deals done early.
