A statement from RL Commercial confirmed the importance of IMG in securing these new deals, stating: “As Super League prepares to celebrate its 30th birthday later this year, Rugby League Commercial can confirm a set of international broadcast agreements for the forthcoming Betfred Super League season, delivered as part of the sport’s long-term strategic partnership with IMG, that will take the competition to its largest ever national and international audience.”
