We’ve picked our Super League Team of the Week for Round Eleven with a Hull KR man who is staking an Ashes claim amongst a team dominated by St Helens and Wigan Warriors.
All six home teams won in Round Eleven but we’ve still picked out one men who ended up on the losing sides and unsurprisingly, he comes from Leigh Leopards who were very strong against Wigan Warriors.
It was moments of excellence from Wigan that stole the game and as a result of that, three of their players make this team.
There are also three St Helens players after their 40-0 win over Catalans Dragons whilst league leaders Hull KR have two men named, just like Wakefield Trinity do.
One man who is potentially a surprise omission is Bevan French who earned the Man of the Match award on Friday night and was labelled as the difference maker by both coaches, however, it’s very hard to argue against the man in his place.
Super League Round Eleven Team of the Week
FB: Tex Hoy (Castleford Tigers)
The Australian full-back had a shaky start but he was at the heart of everything good that Castleford did and was even rewarded with a 20-minute break at the end. If not for that then he might have added to his hat-trick display that saw him run for 143 metres.
WG: Tom Johnstone (Wakefield Trinity)
Tom Johnstone has been one of Wakefield’s stand-out performers in 2025 and the former Catalans man was at it again on Sunday. His finish in the corner was magnificent but his high ball claim to set up Caius Faatili’s second was even more impressive.
CE: Mark Percival (St Helens)
On a night where senior figures needed to step up for St Helens, Percival was one who answered the call. He’s such a classy player and that was evident in his two assists with one of the offloaded being sublime.
CE: Jake Wardle (Wigan Warriors)
Herbie Farnworth might be England’s best centre but Jake Wardle can’t be far behind, he’s certainly the pick of the bunch in Super League. One try, one assist, 141 metres and two offloads tells you all you need to know.
WG: Joe Burgess (Hull KR)
Willie Peters claimed that Joe Burgess is knocking on the door for the Ashes and you have to assume Burgess is in Shaun Wane’s thoughts. Another two-try display for Budgie with a try assist and 145 running metres on top is nothing to be sniffed at.
HB: George Whitby (St Helens)
The teenager scored a hat-trick to earn himself an early 19th birthday present but more important than that, he surely guaranteed his starting berth for the rest of the season. He was involved in everything as all good halves should be and it seems Saints have another superstar on their hands.

HB: Mason Lino (Wakefield Trinity)
Mason Lino kicked Warrington Wolves into submission on Sunday with a wonderful display that saw him register two assists but his hands were involved in every single try that Trinity scored. Playing alongside Max Jowitt due to Jake Trueman’s injury, Lino was the general on the field and the biggest reason why Wakefield won.
PR: Sam Walters (Wigan Warriors)
Luke Thompson came off the bench on Friday and that saw Sam Walters earn a start and he seized that opportunity. His transition to prop has been one of the stories of the season for Wigan and it’s only seen him improve. He ran for over 100 metres and missed just one tackle of his 33 in another impressive showing.
HK: Jarrod O’Connor (Leeds Rhinos)
Leeds’ dramatic win over Hull FC sees just one man selected given the fact that Leeds weren’t all that impressive for large parts with Hull FC having long periods of possession. Countering that was O’Connor who made a whopping 60 tackles and was a threat out of dummy-half as well.
PR: Alex Walmsley (St Helens)
Whitby was the star of the show for Saints but just like Percival, Walmsley was another senior player who stepped up. One try and one assist paired nicely with his 130 metres as he ground down a Catalans pack that is regularly on top in Super League.
SR: Kelepi Tanginoa (Hull KR)
Hull KR struggled for large parts of the game against Huddersfield but Kelepi Tanginoa was the man to break the game open. His powerful running and dangerous offload game saw the Robins take advantage of Huddersfield’s tired legs in what was arguably his best performance for the club yet.

SR: Ethan O’Neill (Leigh Leopards)
Another week goes by and another game where Ethan O’Neill scores but he brings so much more to this Leigh side. O’Neill has arguably been the signing of the season across all of Super League, not just for Leigh and he showed why on Friday with a 40-tackle display where he didn’t let Junior Nsemba get on top of him.
LF: Kaide Ellis (Wigan Warriors)
Ellis has to be among the most underrated players in Super League. He goes quietly about his business, as many of Wigan’s stars do, but this week was a level above. A pair of offloads and a try went alongside his 36 tackles to earn him his spot here.
