The schedule for Round 27 of Super League has been confirmed with dates and kick-off times revealed, including a huge Wigan Warriors v Leeds Rhinos clash.
As long as Leeds Rhinos are not defeated by Catalans Dragons this Thursday night, the Round 27 game between Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos will decide which club finishes second in Super League.
There’s a massive incentive to finish second with a home semi-final on the line and as it stands, the Rhinos can still snatch that prize from Wigan – though they will need to make up some significant points difference.
As it stands, Leeds are two competition points and 65 points (points difference) behind but obviously the points difference gap could be shortened this week. If that points difference gap doesn’t change, then Leeds would have to win by 33 points or more in Round 27 to secure second.
It’s now confirmed that game will take place on Friday September 19th at 8:00 pm with Sky Sports having the exclusive rights for the match.

Who plays when in Super League Round 27?
Three other games will be played on Friday night, with all kick-offs slated for 8:00 pm, whilst Thursday night will see both Hull KR and Hull FC in action.
Hull KR will hope to either win the League Leaders Shield, or if they manage that in Round 26 then they will be celebrating that win, as they host Warrington Wolves.
Meanwhile, Hull FC host Catalans Dragons as they seek a top six spot. They have to better Wakefield’s results in the final two rounds so they could well be playing to earn a play-off spot.
One of those two fixtures will have exclusive coverage and be aired only on Sky Sports, whilst the other will be shown on both Sky Sports and Super League+.
The remaining fixtures on Friday see Wakefield travel to Salford as they too seek a play-off palce, whilst Leigh and St Helens host Huddersfield and Castleford respectively.
