The referee appointments have been confirmed for Super League round nine, and some blockbuster fixtures are set to take place including Warrington Wolves v Wigan Warriors.
That game will take place on Friday night, as both sides look to bounce back from upset defeats, Wigan more so than Warrington after the Cherry and Whites have now lost three straight Super League games.
Warrington not only lost to Catalans, but they also lost their place at the top of the table. They do have a game in hand though, and will play their postponed round two fixture against Hull KR at some point later in the season to even things out.
That game will be refereed by Aaron Moore, with Marcus Griffiths on video referee duties.
Two more games will be played on Friday night, with Leeds Rhinos hosting Catalans Dragons and Castleford looking to capitalise on their win against Wigan with another victory over Hull FC.
Liam Moore will be at Headingley, whilst Tara Jones will take charge the Onebore Stadium. Chris Kendall and Jack Smith will be the video referee respecively.
The action doesn’t begin on Friday though, with two games taking place on Thursday night. York will take on Toulouse in the repeat of the 2025 Championship Grand Final.
James Vella has the whistle in that game, whilst Marcus Griffiths will be at Leigh Sports Village to oversee Leigh Leopards’ clash with Huddersfield Giants.
The final two games take place on Saturday, with Hull KR travelling to Bradford Bulls and Wakefield Trinity making the trip to St Helens in another stand-out clash this weekend.
Chris Kendall will take charge at Odsal, in what is only his second Super League tie this season. Kendall has been struggling with injury to begin 2026, and made his return to the field last week in the Championship. Jack Smith has been handed the Trinity v Saints fixture.
