The referee appointments for Round 19 of the Betfred Super League have been confirmed, including a playoff four-pointer between St Helens and Leigh Leopards.
The pair are third and fourth in the league and it is the first time this season the two will face off.
Who is in charge of this week’s Super League games?
The round will kick off on Thursday night with the tie of the round, as Paul Wellens’ men look to continue their five-match win streak against the high-flying Leopards. Chris Kendall will be the man in the middle, with Jack Smith as video referee.
Friday night sees Leeds Rhinos host Salford Red Devils, as they look for a better performance than the one they dished out against St Helens. Salford overcame Castleford last week for only their second win of the season, however there are rumours that members of the playing group are refusing to play in this match. Liam Rush will take up the whistle, with Marcus Griffiths on video ref duties.
The other fixture on Friday night sees Wakefield Trinity travel to Huddersfield. Aaron Moore, who returned to the action last week after being stood down for a “clear error”, will take charge. His brother, Liam Moore, will act as the video ref.
On Saturday, the first of the Super League double header sees Wigan host Hull FC. The Moore brothers will also take charge of this game too, with Liam the on-field referee and Aaron up in the video referee box.
We then travel to the South of France, where Catalans welcome Hull KR to the Stade Gilbert Brutus. Tom Grant will take control of this fixture, with Kendall the video ref.
Sunday sees the final match of the round as Warrington Wolves travel to struggling Castleford. Warrington secured a late win in Perpignan last week, whilst the Tigers are without a win since the middle of June. Jack Smith will be the man in the middle, with Liam Rush on video ref duties.
