Part two of Round 20 in the Betfred Super League is here, and the six teams that enjoyed a week off last week will return to action, including a heavyweight clash between Leigh Leopards and Warrington Wolves.
Much like the players, half of the league’s referees were rested last week, with the likes of Chris Kendall and Jack Smith taking this week as their week off.
Who is in charge of this week’s Super League fixtures?
The opening tie of the week sees bottom side Salford Red Devils host top of the table Hull KR. Salford return home for the first time since their win over Castleford three weeks ago, and will need a similar performance if they are going to get anything out of this game against the Rovers.
In the middle for this one is James Vella, with the experienced Liam Moore in the video ref hotseat.
On Friday night, two Super League fixtures kick off at the same time. First, St Helens host Castleford Tigers, who are still without a permanent head coach since the sacking of Danny McGuire.
Liam Moore becomes the man with the whistle for this match-up, with Marcus Griffiths as video ref. Griffiths has only officiated eight matches this season, his last being Castleford’s defeat to Warrington at the end of May.
Also on Friday, third placed Leigh Leopards host the Wolves, in the tie of the week. Warrington were beaten by the Tigers last time out, after three consecutive wins. They need to start picking up points if Sam Burgess’ men are to make the top six, as they currently sit three points adrift.
Aaron Moore will take charge of this game, with Liam Rush on video referee duties.
