Super League referee appointments including Hull KR v St Helens and Leeds Rhinos v Wakefield Trinity

Approaching the midway point of the Super League season and the referee appointments have been confirmed for Round Thirteen, including Hull KR v St Helens.

Super League will take a break for a week after this weekend’s games with the Challenge Cup Final on the horizon, a game where the referee appointment will be one to watch.

Chris Kendall officiated the game last year as Warrington Wolves lost to Wigan Warriors, with Wire facing off against league leaders Hull KR under the arches this year.

Those sides met last week and two disciplinary charges came from the game for Hull KR despite no cards being flashed and both teams will be hoping they come through without any bans this week, when they take on St Helens and Castleford Tigers.

We now know who will officiate which game as well as the other four Super League games that make up Round Thirteen.

Who is in charge of this week’s Super League games?

Thursday night’s match between Huddersfield Giants and Leigh Leopards will be taken by Jack Smith with Liam Moore as video referee, ahead of his gig in the South of France on Saturday when Catalans host Hull FC. James Vella will be his video referee for that game.

There are three games on Friday night with both Challenge Cup finalists plating. Liam Rush officiates Hull KR v St Helens with Ben Thaler on video referee duties, whilst Marcus Griffiths will be in charge as Warrington take on Castleford with Chris Kendall in support.

Friday’s other game pits Super League struggles Salford Red Devils at home to Wigan with Tom Grant in charge and Jack Smith serving as video referee.

The other Super League game this weekend sees Leeds Rhinos host Wakefield Trinity with Chris Kendall in charge of the West Yorkshire derby, supported by Tom Grant.
