Super League returns after a break for the Challenge Cup Final and the referee appointments for Round Fourteen have been confirmed.
There might have been just one game featuring Super League clubs last weekend but the Challenge Cup Final didn’t disappoint on the drama front and that extended to referee decisions as well, with debate still raging about Hull KR’s try.
Whether Arron Lindop grounded the ball dead or not before it skidded through for Tom Davies to score was a hot topic, with Sam Burgess clearly upset with the call post-match.
Nevertheless, the result is in the books and another week of action awaits which means another week where fans scrutinise the judgement of the match officials.
Round Fourteen officially takes us past the halfway stage of the season and the action gets underway on Friday night.
Who is in charge of this week’s Super League games?
Both Hull sides host games on Friday with Challenge Cup winners Hull KR welcoming Catalans to Craven Park where Tom Grant will be the referee on Rovers’ return to Super League action. Jack Smith will serve as the video ref.
Liam Rush officiated the 1895 Cup Final at the weekend but he takes charge of Hull FC and Castleford with James Vella in support, whilst the referees for the two Challenge Cup finals work together when Huddersfield host Wigan on Saturday.
Aaron Moore took charge of the Women’s final before older brother Liam reffed the men’s game and on Saturday, Aaron will serve as the video referee with Liam in the middle.
Chris Kendall takes charge of the game of the week later that evening as Leeds Rhinos host Warrington Wolves, with Tom Grant serving as the video referee.
Sunday sees Jack Smith officiate Wakefield and Leigh with Liam Moore in support, whilst the game between Salford Red Devils and St Helens will be refereed by Aaron Moore and have Chris Kendall on video referee duties.

We need better planning, organised properly all six games should be watchable over a three days. Although it did get silly a while back, you could watch 14 matches with the NRL Magic weekend in full flow, by game 12 I was in overload mode, by the end of game 14 gibbering in the corner, wondering if I was overdoing it a tad.
