Super League 2026 fixture announcement date confirmed as fans await schedule reveal

The date for when Super League releases the fixture list for 2026 has been confirmed, with fans needing to wait just over a month to find out who and when they will play in the upcoming campaign.

Supporters from all clubs will be eagerly anticipating the day they get to find out the schedule, especially to see when those all-important rivalries are. The likes of St Helens vs Wigan and the Hull derby are games that often first earmarked in the calendar.

Next year will also see the return of another historic rivalry. Bradford Bulls’ inclusion in the top flight for the first time since 2014 means that they will meet Leeds Rhinos at least twice this season, reigniting their feud that has lasted for generations.

Fellow newly-promoted sides York Knights and Toulouse Olympique will also be excited to learn who they will face, with the Knights making their Super League debuts next year and Toulouse returning to the competition for the first time since 2022.

Huddersfield Giants, who finished 12th on the IMG rankings and secured the final automatic spot in next year’s league, were the ones to break the news regarding when the fixture list would be announced. The West Yorkshire club revealed on social media that we would have to wait until November 27th to see the full schedule.

The full Super League structure and start dates are yet to be confirmed, but reports from All Out Rugby League state that the competition will commence on the weekend of 14th/15th February, and will follow last year’s start with the third round of the Challenge Cup being played the week before.

Some key dates have already been confirmed, with the Challenge Cup Final set for May 30. Rugby league will return to Wembley for the first time since this year’s Ashes series, and will host both the men’s and women’s finals once again.

The 2026 Grand Final date has been finalised, too. Super League’s showpiece event will take place on October 3 at Old Trafford. This is an earlier date than previous years, with both the Rugby League World Cup and the football international break playing a factor in the decision.
