Super League fans disagree over competition’s ‘most impressive’ side at halfway stage

Super League

Approaching the midway point of the Super League season, fans have debated which team has been most impressive with opinion split on the matter.

We’ve just seen Round 13 conclude and have reached the Challenge Cup Final, with the final 14 games of the Super League campaign to follow after.

As such, most teams can be assessed fairly with the sample size large enough for a true judgement and we asked Super League fans to give their verdict on which side they have been most impressed with.

There are some obvious and not so obvious candidates and plenty of teams were given nods by the fans with differing interpretations of the question.

Hull KR sitting top of the table with just one loss is incredibly impressive but the grit of Salford’s players under uncertain circumstances is as well.

Wigan Warriors have continued where they left off whilst other sides have taken huge leaps forwards, all of which is impressive.

Super League fans back Hull FC and Wakefield among others as “most impressive” in 2025

Serious About Rugby League asked fans: “Which Super League side have you been most impressed with in 2025?”, with shouts for almost every team across the near-300 comments but several teams stood out among the pack.

Here are some of the replies and shouts for the most impressive side in Super League 2025.

Lyn Finfaz: KR by a mile.

Rob Woodall: How can you look past top of the league and Challenge Cup finalists.

Steve McClements: After last year’s disastrous season, Hull FC.

Glynn Mitchell: The turnaround at Hull (FC) and Leeds.

Ian Pratt: Hull FC after a shocking past few seasons finally grinding wins out to stay at the top end of the table.

Richard Kilburn: Wakefield, with Hull FC a close second.

Dayne Scott: As a Leeds Rhinos fan, I think we are doing pretty well. Bias aside, Wakey and Hull FC are the outsider teams doing well.

Bradley Ansboro: As a Rhino, I’d say ourselves or Wakey. We were horrendous last year and Arthur is building a well oiled team! No explanation (needed) for Wakey, they’re doing superb and I hope they make the top 6.

Luke Irvin: Wakey and FC most improved, KR most impressive. Hard to say as an FC fan but fair play to them.

Jackie McKiernan: Salford for their sheer heart in keeping their heads up.

Martin Henry: Salford for not throwing the towel in, total respect to the players and staff.
