Super League disciplinary with Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos men among several sweating verdict

Another Super League disciplinary verdict is upon us and plenty of players will be nervous, including a Wigan Warriors star, after an action-packed round five.

Centre Adam Keighran, who has been sin binned twice so far this season, was not penalised for his shot on York’s Ata Hingano but the lack of arms wrapping was highlighted by those on Sky Sports as a possible point of contention.

No high contact was necessarily made but it’s feasible that the Match Review Panel could view the tackle as a shoulder charge, something that would only add to Keighran’s growing disciplinary record.

Which players could be sweating today’s Super League disciplinary?

Meanwhile the man who he laid the shot on, Ata Hingano, was one of several Super League players sent to the sin bin this weekend but the York playmaker may not be fearing the disciplinary panel.

Hingano was pinged for a professional foul of laying on in the ruck too long, something that is unlikely to warrant sanctions. As for the other yellow cards shown this weekend, both Toby King and Jack Hughes were sent to the bin for tackles off the ball as they tried to run players off lines.

As for Sunday’s game between Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos, standout prop Ligi Sao committed a high tackle and with the disciplinary points from his ban in round one of Super League still looming, he could be in trouble.

So too could debutant Jack Bird who lashed out at Amir Bourouh after the ruck, conceding a penalty at the time but receiving no card.
