Seven Super League players have been charged by the Match Review Panel this week, with stars from Leeds Rhinos and York Knights among those on the naughty list.

No player will face a ban, though three men have received a fine. One of those men is Knights prop Xavier Va’a, who has been dealt a Grade B late contact charge. The former Sydney Roosters man was sent to the sin-bin for the incident, and as a result has landed himself three penalty points and a fine.

The other two men who will be paying up this week are Castleford’s George Hirst and Toulouse’s Cesar Rouge. Hirst has been hit with a Grade B dangerous throw, whilst half-back Rouge is charged with a Grade B dangerous contact.

Other players to be charged by the MRP this week are Leeds star, and Super League’s top try scorer, Maika Sivo.

The Fijian international was charged for a tackle on Giants full-back Niall Evalds and was handed a late contact on the passer charge.

St Helens prop Noah Stephens, Bradford Bulls forward Leon Ruan and Toulose’s Lambert Belmas have all been charged with a Grade A late contact on passer, and have each been given one penalty point.
