Toulouse Olympique have continued their very busy period of retention with two more standouts signing deals beyond the end of the year, pointing to the club’s possible confidence that they will be playing in Super League for 2027.
Focus is swiftly turning to the IMG grading race with a number of clubs believed to be on the bubble and at risk of relegation, with Toulouse being one of them along with fellow promoted side York Knights.
While the Knights are reportedly set for some key investment from a local businessman, Toulouse continues to invest on the field with Lambert Belmas and Henry O’Kane the latest duo to sign new deals.
Those new contracts follow a spate of new deals handed out with the longest going to full-back Olly Ashall-Bott, who the club have tied down until the end of the 2030 season, whilst others such as Romeo Tropis (2029), Mathieu Jussaume (2029), Thomas Lacans (2028), Rob Butler (2028), Cesar Rouge (2028), Brendan Hands (2028), Luke Polselli (2028) and Paul Ulberg (2027) have all signed new deals.

The club have also signed loanee Tiaki Chan to a permanent deal on a two-year contract with the option of an extra year, suggesting that Toulouse are quietly confident of their Super League status.
Deals for O’Kane and Belmas would suggest the same with Ireland international O’Kane penning a one-year extension whilst French prop forward Belmas has signed until the end of 2028.
Speaking on his new deal, O’Kane said: “I am very happy to extend my stay in Toulouse. I have loved being part of this group and I believe in the vision of the club and the direction we are heading. Allez TO.”
On his own two-year deal, Belmas reacted: “I am happy to continue the adventure with the club. We are moving in the right direction! I’m excited about the project and the years to come.”
