Manly Sea Eagles are expected to undergo plenty of change this off-season as rookie head coach Kieran Foran puts his stamp on the side, and that could lead to one key forward signing in Super League.
Foran, who only retired from playing at the end of the 2025 season, took interim charge of the Sea Eagles after the early-season sacking of Anthony Seibold but he’s since been appointed to the role full-time.
As such, he’s likely to put his own brand on the club during the off-season and off-contract forward Nathan Brown could be one of the casualties, with reports down under now linking him to a Super League switch.
In a report from Wide World of Sports, Brown is ‘being chased by several clubs’ but it’s Catalans Dragons who are leading the pack and currently favourites to sign the 33-year-old.
The report adds: “Manly are in danger of losing cult hero forward Nathan Brown to Super League next season.”
Brown, a former New South Wales representative, is in his third season at Manly but he’s spent most of his NRL career with Parramatta Eels, playing 109 of his 190 NRL games under Brad Arthur.
He’s also represented both South Sydney and Sydney Roosters but it was Wests Tigers where he started his career.
Also off-contract at Manly is former Super League man Siosiua Taukeiaho though there are fears if Taukeiaho will play again after he suffered a brutal leg fracture when scoring a try earlier in the season.
Centre Aaron Schoupp is another at the club without a deal beyond the end of the season but he’s only featured in the New South Wales Cup so far this year.
