St Helens v Wigan Warriors team news as major Jai Field decision made

Wigan Warriors

The team news is in for St Helens’ Good Friday derby against Wigan Warriors with Paul Rowley’s side hugely hampered by injuries.

Saints named a 21-man squad that was without ten of their top 17, highlighting just how injury-impacted the club have been in these early stages of the 2026 Super League season.

Wigan haven’t had it easy either with Jai Field, Jake Wardle and Bevan French all missing, however, Field was named in the 21-man squad for this one just a few weeks removed from his appendix surgery.

With both sides coming off the back of uncharacteristic defeats, a 52-10 hammering for Saints and a first loss of the year for Wigan, both coaches will want a major response and a Good Friday derby is surely the perfect platform for it.
