St Helens have welcomed back Jackson Hastings from suspension with the playmaker straight into the starting XIII for today’s clash against Huddersfield Giants.
Hastings saw himself sent to the sin bin late on in the defeat to Castleford Tigers with his actions landing him a two-match ban, meaning he missed out on the club’s recent two defeats.
That form of three straight losses makes today’s match against bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield Giants a must-win game for St Helens, who do still remain in the top six.
Hastings has been named in the halves alongside Tristan Sailor with Jack Welsby starting at full-back as Paul Rowley opts to leave George Whitby out.
As for Huddersfield, they make three changes with the club’s new overseas signing handed a debut in what is a massive game for them given how out of form they are.

St Helens team news
The return of Hastings is not the only change that Paul Rowley has made with Matt Whitley also dropping out. The second-rower had featured in the centres last week but the return of Harry Robertson means he misses out in that role, whilst others are selected in the pack.
Robertson pairs Mark Percival in the centres with Nene Macdonald named on the wing in another big boost for the Red Vee.
Jake Davies drops to the bench with Shane Wright starting whilst young hooker Tom Humphreys is also named on the bench.
