St Helens and Salford Red Devils meet in Super League for the second time in three weeks with Saints flying high after a huge win.
Paul Wellens’ side secured a statement victory when they beat Leeds Rhinos 18-4 last Friday, beating an in-form and gritty opponent whilst missing several players through injury.
It’s a game that the Red Vee can build on and they now face a struggling Salford team in what looks like a near certain win.
In their recent match-up, St Helens won with ease as NRL recruit Kyle Feldt scored four tries on his return from injury and he’ll be hoping for a similar haul.
For Salford, they looked very competitive in the first half against Hull FC last Sunday before tapering off in the second forty and they’ve since added the key loan signing of former St Helens man Danny Richardson who will be able to offer control in the halves.
St Helens team news
The return of George Whitby after he missed out due a failed HIA is a massive boost for Saints, with Moses Mbye set to return to a utility role off the bench after being shuffled into the halves last week.
Will Roberts drops out after joining Widnes Vikings on loan as the only change. Deon Cross looks set to play against his former team whilst young outside back Owen Dagnall could retain his spot given his impressive performance against Leeds.
The likes of Jack Welsby, Mark Percival, Joe Batchelor and James Bell all remain out injured.
