St Helens centre Mark Percival will “feature” this week against Castleford Tigers, head coach Paul Rowley has confirmed.
The veteran has played just three games all season, with the last being the heavy defeat to Hull KR back in March.
After suffering a knock in that game, he was then on track to return before a hamstring issue saw him ruled out of April’s action.
Now though, he is set to make his return to the side, with boss Rowley confirming he will play a part on Saturday afternoon.
“Percy will feature this week, so I’ll give you some clarity on that,” the St Helens boss revealed to the press.
Asked what his inclusion brings to the side, Rowley answered: “Strike, experience, selection headaches.
“It all gets more complicated, but more exciting as well.
“Again, I have to downplay it to keep expectations a little bit lower. He’s been out for a long period of time like Curtis [Sironen]. We’ve got to make sure, and that affects what we put out on the bench. One domino affects the next one.”

St Helens boss issues update on forgotten overseas star
One Saints player who is still a while away from returning is back rower Jacob Host.
The former NRL man broke his leg in the win over Bradford Bulls back in March, and was initially set for a four-month lay-off.
With Host now being half way through that timeframe, Rowley was asked for an update on his progress, to which he revealed he was on track in his recovery.
“He’s doing great. He’s training really well,” the boss said. “He’s not back in with the team yet. He’s still with the medical.
“He shouldn’t be too far off integration back with the boys, which will be a welcome return as well.”
