St Helens have confirmed that they will also be playing in Dublin in 2027, following suit after the announcement that Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves will face off in the Irish capital next year.
Wigan and Warrington were the trailblazers who helped take Super League to Las Vegas, playing each other in 2025 to set the way for the likes of Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR, as well as Leigh Leopards and Bradford Bulls who will partake in the event next year.
Closer to home, Wigan and Warrington have now confirmed that they will play in Dublin next year with that announcement made on Wednesday, however, there was a suggestion that a second game would also be played at Leinster’s stadium.
It’s now been confirmed that St Helens will be involved in that game with chairman Eamonn McManus confirming that when speaking to Sky Sports ahead of his side’s clash against Hull FC, whilst the club also released a statement to confirm that.
Conveniently, McManus was able to confirm that Saints have agreed a deal with Hull FC to play the day after Wigan and Warrington face off to complete what will be an epic weekend of rugby league in the Irish capital.

St Helens confirm Dublin fixture for 2027
Speaking as part of his club’s press release to confirm the news, McManus said: “What a weekend in Dublin this will prove to be for Saints fans.
“I know you’ll get there in big numbers and make your presence felt along with fans from Hull, Warrington and Wigan, and I’m sure that there will be a lot of interest from the people of Ireland also.
“It will be quite something and not one to miss. It’s a great opportunity to showcase our sport and its following in one of the great world sporting cities.
“I would urge fans to put this weekend in the diary, as we work on travel and ticketing arrangements which we will announce as soon as practicable.”
Hull FC have already taken to social media to confirm their involvement as they also confirmed that St Helens will be the home side, meaning that the Red Vee will play one less game at the BrewDog Stadium in 2027.
It had been confirmed that Warrington and Wigan would face off on April 24th next year, that being the Saturday ahead of Magic Weekend at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. With Saints now set to play on Sunday the 25th, it’s fair to say that Magic Weekend will have some competition.
