The Sky Sports’ Super League pundits have made their predictions for who will win the Grand Final with champions Hull KR snubbed completely.
Despite completing the treble in 2025, not a single one of the eight Sky Sports pundits have selected the Robins to retain their crown, with four other teams earning selections.
Hull KR are strongly fancied with the bookmakers, alongside 2024 winners and 2025 runners-up Wigan Warriors, however, they’ve not been picked by any of the Sky Sports team, who made their selections known on opening night of the competition.
Wigan have been selected twice with Jon Wilkin and Kyle Amor throwing their weight behind Matt Peet’s side, but it’s Brad Arthur’s Leeds Rhinos who have been selected by a whopping four pundits.
Sam Tomkins was among those with the ex-Man of Steel explaining: “I’m looking at the way that Leeds have developed in the last couple of years. Last year, getting knocked out in the most dramatic finish against St Helens, I think Leeds will be stinging from that. I think the way they’re growing, I fancy them to go and take it this year.”
As for Wilkin, he explained his Wigan pick: “I think Wigan will be stinging after last year, not coming away with anything. I think they’ll have had an incredibly tough pre-season and I fancy them.
“With the pedigree they’ve got and if French and Field stay fit, then I think Wigan for me.”
Leigh Leopards and St Helens also got nods, however, Saints were selected by women’s captain Jodie Cunningham, with a number of Leeds’ selections also backed by former players, including current chief executive Jamie Jones-Buchanan.
