Martin on Leeds
Leeds Rhinos’ back-rower and goalkicker Rhyse Martin has backed the Leeds players to turn their season around, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Martin said: “We need to find some confidence, that’s a big part of it. We can feel it in camp, the vibe in camp is very positive.”
Walmsley and Grace
St Helens head coach Kristian Woolf has spoken to the St Helens Star given a major update on two of his biggest stars – Alex Walmsley and Regan Grace.
Grace and Walmsley both missed last week’s game against Leeds Rhinos but there is very mixed news. Read more here.
Edwards at SL club
Wigan Warriors legend Shaun Edwards has made an appearance at another Super League club this week.
The current France rugby union national coach spent over a decade at Wigan before spells at London and Bradford. Read more on his appearance here.
Roby future
St Helens stalwart James Roby is approaching his 501st career game this weekend, but there are calls for him to go beyond 2022.
The hooker has said before that this year would be his last but he has told the Manchester Evening News: “Never say never.”
Warrington and Castleford statement
Warrington Wolves have made a powerful statement in response to the vile abuse aimed at winger Josh Charnley. The club revealed hefty punishments for the duo involved. Read more here. Warrington have also appointed a new coach in the backroom. Read more about that here.

Tomkins’ future
The Bournemouth Echo has revealed that Catalans Dragons star Sam Tomkins has made a huge decision on his future.
He has spent a number of years in the south of France following his exit from Wigan Warriors a second time. Read more on the news here.
Challenge Cup referees
The referees for the Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals this weekend have been announced with four video referees as well.
Hull KR take on Castleford Tigers on Friday, Catalans Dragons take on St Helens and Huddersfield Giants host Hull FC on Saturday before Wakefield Trinity do battle with Wigan Warriors on Sunday. Read more about who will referee which game here.
Bradford fan update
There has been a big update on a Bradford Bulls fan that was taken ill in last weekend’s run of fixtures.
Bradford were away at the London Broncos and the supporter had a seizure. Read more here.
Why Connor escaped ban
Hull FC’s Jake Connor was cited by the Disciplinary Match Review Panel following last week’s game against Wigan Warriors.
However, the fullback wasn’t banned for an incident with Oliver Partington. Read more as to why he wasn’t.
Eden and Westerman news
Castleford Tigers head coach Lee Radford has told BBC Radio Leeds about the situation with Greg Eden and Joe Westerman.
The duo were forced off in the Tigers’ fixture against Toulouse Olympique last weekend. Read more here.
Kelly in police trouble
Police are set to investigate the drunken brawl between Brisbane Broncos pair Albert Kelly and Payne Haas, according to Fox Sports.
The two were involved in a kerfuffle at the weekend with Kelly clearly intoxicated. Read more here.

The details for the draw for the Challenge Cup Semi-Finals have been revealed ahead of this week’s Quarter-Final showdown.

Leeds Rhinos legend Barrie McDermott has revealed who he wants to take over the coaching roles at Headingley to Sky Sports.

St Helens star in demand
A St Helens star is in demand in the NRL with a number of clubs said to be circling and the Gold Coast Titans being one of them.

Leeds in for shock move
Leeds Rhinos are reportedly set to make a bid to take a head coach and a halfback back to Headingley from Australia, according to Channel 9’s The Mole.
