Serious About Rugby League launch new show ahead of biggest game of Super League season so far

After a week off for the Challenge Cup, Super League returns this week and it does so with a big with perhaps the biggest game of the competition so far being played on Friday and with that, what better time for Serious About Rugby League to launch a new show?

Each and every week of the 2026 Super League season, we’ve given out our predictions in written format with scores and a brief explanation shared, but starting this week, it’s time to level up with a new and separate predictions podcast.

For those who still enjoy the written format, fear not, that will remain and will land on the Serious About Rugby League site every Thursday morning on weeks when there is Super League action.

However, for those who like to get their teeth into a podcast and see a deeper insight and debate behind the predictions, that’s where the new Serious About Rugby League Predictions Show comes in.

How to watch the new Serious About Rugby League Predictions Show

The first episode will land on the Serious About Rugby League YouTube channel at 3:30 pm tomorrow (Wednesday, 13th May) with that mid-week afternoon slot set to become a weekly home for our audio-visual predictions.

It’s also a near perfect time to launch our predictions show as this week’s Super League action puts forward one of the games of the season, at least on paper, with Challenge Cup finalists Wigan Warriors set to host Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos.

To find out our picks for that you can watch Wednesday’s prediction show with Thursday’s prediction piece seeing us put our necks on the line and guess a scoreline.

Since launching our podcast in September of 2025, the show has gone from strength to strength with episodes shared every Monday, including yesterday’s show where the focus was on the brilliant Challenge Cup semi-finals.

Those weekly reaction podcasts will continue but fans of rugby league can now get double their fix with the predictions show a new addition to the Serious About Rugby League YouTube channel.
