Schofield slams Leeds

Leeds Rhinos hero Garry Schofield has slammed ‘boring’ and ‘dull’ Leeds, the League Express has reported.

Schofield said that Leeds look ‘in real trouble’: “I’ve said this before, but where is the Sean Long influence and the promised open, fluent rugby and passing from all areas? Halfback partners Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer look miles off the pace, as do quite a few others.”

Challenge Cup fifth round draw

The Challenge Cup fifth round draw was made after Leigh Centurions’ emphatic win over Widnes Vikings last night.

Derek Beaumont has told the Daily Star about his shock accident whilst on holiday in South Africa.

He almost died from the incident and if it hadn’t have been for the quick-thinking of a paramedic who rushed to the scene, he may well have no longer been here. Read more here.

Connor speaks out

Jake Connor has spoken to the Hull Daily Mail about his determination to kick on with Hull FC now after a stellar weekend’s performance against Salford Red Devils.

The fullback scored one try and assisted six others in a man-of-the-match performance.

Jon Wilkin has told the Out Of Your League podcast that he was baffled by James Bentley’s decision to leave St Helens and join Leeds Rhinos.
