Salford RLFC have confirmed their first four signings ahead of the 2026 season, which begins in just over a week.
The phoenix club will host the first game of the Championship season on Friday, 16th January when big guns Oldham visit.
Salford RLFC have confirmed their new head coach and agreed a kit deal with Debeau Performance but until now, they had not announced any players.
They’ve now confirmed their first four signings under the new era with two familiar faces, including one who produced one of the club’s best moments last year.
Cole Appleby, Sam Hill, Charlie Glover and Damola Lola have been announced as the first four signings for Salford RLFC with fans perhaps familiar with both Hill and Glover.
Both men return having featured in 2025 with Hill scoring his first senior try last year a few tackles after an incredible chip and chase against St Helens, something that then-head coach Paul Rowley referred to as ‘audacious’ and the ‘highlight of my day’.

Hill had actually been confirmed to leave Salford Red Devils at the end of the 2025 season, however, he has signed a new deal with the club’s phoenix club who will play under the guise Salford RLFC.
He and Charlie Glover both made appearances last year with Hill playing five times and Glover playing eight times, with the latter having previously debuted at the end of the 2024 season.
Announcing the quartet of signings, Salford RLFC posted on social media: “First new signings. A huge boost for Salford RLFC as we build towards 2026!
“New faces. Fresh energy. Same belief. This is what the new era is all about. The rebuild is real. The rise continues.”
