Salford Red Devils host Wigan Warriors with Paul Rowley’s side facing a near-impossible task to get the win.
Realistically, it will be a game where the objective is to keep the score down against a Wigan side that have been in fine form, winning their last seven with the first in that winning streak coming against Wigan.
They won 54-0 at the Brick Community Stadium that day and many will expect a similar scoreline today, albeit at Salford.
Paul Rowley was only able to name an 18-man squad with Salford limited by both injuries and loan recalls, one of which was Harvey Makin with the Wigan youngster a chance of facing the Red Devils tonight.
Matt Peet and Wigan had recalled Makin due to injuries to Sam Walters and Luke Thompson with the former set for 12 weeks out due to a broken fibula, whilst Thompson has broken ribs and will return when the pain is more manageable.
Here are the match-day squads for both teams.
Salford Red Devils team news
Nene Macdonald is the man who misses out from the 18-man squad with the outside back not even named 18th man. That means huge changes in the backline with Sam Hill given a debut and Sam Stone starting at centre.
Esan Marsters moves from centre into the halves as Jayden Nikorima and Joe Mellor remain out with the centre pairing Ryan Brierley.
Kai Morgan starts at nine in a pack that welcomes Joe Bullock back. Wigan Warriors loanee Tiaki Chan starts from the bench.
Salford Red Devils XIII: Nathan Connell; Sam Hill, Jonny Vaughan, Sam Stone, Chris Hankinson; Esan Marsters, Ryan Brierley; Jack Ormondroyd, Kai Morgan, Joe Bullock; Matty Foster, Joe Shorrocks, Harvey Wilson
Interchanges: Justin Sangare, Charlie Glover, Tiaki Chan, Toby Warren
