Round Three of Super League has boasted very healthy attendance numbers once again with four fixtures breaking the 10,000 fan mark.
One of those was the game in Las Vegas between Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos with the approximated 12,000 travelling Super League fans helping contribute to a record attendance of 45,719, up by over 500 from the 2025 event.
Leeds Rhinos romped home in that one as they won 58-6 to hand Willie Peters the worst result in his tenure as a head coach but the Robins weren’t the only side to be hammered in front of a large crowd.
Wigan Warriors beat Leigh Leopards 54-0 in the Battle of the Borough with that game topping the attendance charts this weekend as 16,730 watched on.
Friday night’s matches saw one more strong crowd but also the lowest attendance of the week as just 6,105 turned out to watch Castleford Tigers beat Huddersfield Giants.
The 12,716 in attendance at the MKM Stadium saw another shock as York Knights won their second Super League match in history when Mark Applegarth’s side won 17-16 against the Black and Whites having won 19-18 against Hull KR in round one.
Onto Saturday where another five-figure crowd was drawn with just over 10,000 watching Warrington beat Wakefield Trinity, whilst almost 9,000 saw St Helens handily beat Catalans Dragons in the south of France.
Bradford Bulls continued their strong start at Odsal as almost 9,000 watched them beat Toulouse with the Bulls now averaging an attendance of well over 9,000 in their two Super League games despite hosting French clubs with minimal away support.
