Cockayne contract

Ben Cockayne will go past his 39th birthday in the sport of rugby league after signing a new one-year deal at a Yorkshire club. Cockayne has previously played for the likes of Wakefield Trinity and Hull KR. Read more here.

Hull FC head coach Brett Hodgson has given an update to the Hull Daily Mail on Josh Reynolds with the latter still in Australia after succumbing to a bad injury during the 2021 season.

Wire will find it difficult to keep star

Warrington Wolves will find it tough to keep new signing Billy Magoulias past one or two seasons, according to the World Wide of Sports. The forward arrives from Cronulla Sharks.

Wigan let one go

Pryce injury horror and shock switch

The Sun has revealed that Huddersfield Giants starlet Will Pryce ruptured his ankle ligament at the end of the season whilst playing for the England Knights. He will also be playing at fullback for the 2022 Super League season. The teenager, son of former St Helens hero Leon, excelled in the halves in 2021, but it looks like a shift is on the cards.

Super League dilemmas

Serious About Rugby League has written an article about the dilemmas that some Super League sides face concerning their out-of-contract stars as pre-season gets in full swing.

Three clubs monitoring Trueman

Yorkshire Live has also revealed their own list of out of contract stars which includes the likes of  Saints trio Morgan Knowles, Matty Lees and Regan Grace, the latter of whom the paper revealed had interest from rugby union during 2021. Yorkshire Live has also revealed the latest on Tom Johnstone as well as the idea that three clubs – Leeds, Hull FC and Warrington are said to be ‘considering their options’ on Jake Trueman, who is also off contract.

Wiganers off contract

The Manchester Evening News has revealed ten Wigan stars who are off contract at the end of the 2022 Super League season – including Zak Hardaker and Liam Farrell.

Naiqama’s partner opens up

Kevin Naiqama’s partner has opened up on his move following his exit from St Helens. Naiqama has signed a one-year deal with an NRL side. Read more on his partner’s reaction here.

Serious About Rugby League has revealed what the retiring Danny Brough’s next move is after hanging up his boots due to a bad injury.

Leilua future

Kevin Naiqama’s new club have announced his signing after weeks of speculation. The Fijian international centre was said to be close to retiring before performing a u-turn. Read more here.

Wakefield Trinity have signed former Newcastle Thunder and Featherstone Rovers outside back Thomas Minns, according to Yorkshire Live.

Cas star reveals abuse

Castleford Tigers halfback Danny Richardson has revealed the lengths of fan abuse he has been subjected to over the years in an interview with Trot The Egg In. Read more here.
