Ranking Super League teams by disciplinary charges in 2026 with Hull KR and Wigan Warriors topping list

Eight rounds into the Super League season, we’ve examined how each club stacks up in terms of disciplinary charges, with Hull KR currently boasting the most charges of any club.

We’ve taken data from the eight Super League rounds as well as the two rounds of Challenge Cup action that Super League clubs have played in and it’s Willie Peters side who have proven to be punished the most by the Match Review Panel.

That’s only in respect of the number of charges and not the number of disciplinary points as 10 of Hull KR’s 14 disciplinary charges are the lowest level of charge, Grade A and worth just one penalty point.

They do have a Grade E charge from when Karl Lawton copped a three-game ban for his tackle on Matty English, however, it’s Wigan who have the most disciplinary points. That’s in large part to their two Grade E charges for Sam Walters and Harry Smith but Matt Peet’s side do also have the second-most charges with 13.

We’ve ranked where each club stands in terms of disciplinary charges to date with one team having just two across nine games that they’ve played this season. Where teams have the same number of charges, they are split by penalty points.

Super League disciplinary charges ranked by team

1st: Hull KR – 14

As referenced above, 10 of Hull KR’s 14 charges are Grade As and with 75% of disciplinary points not carrying over, it means players aren’t really running the risk of suspension even if several Grade A charges stack up.

2nd: Wigan Warriors – 13

Wigan’s offences, whilst fewer, are more serious as there have been two Grade E charges and six Grade B charges so far, with just five Grade A offences.

3rd: Wakefield Trinity – 11

Jazz Tevaga’s recent Grade D charge is the most severe of Wakefield’s so far with the club having eight Grade A charges.

4th: Catalans Dragons – 11

Whilst Catalans have hit eleven charges, eight of those have been at Grade A level so their points tally remains relatively low.

5th: Bradford Bulls – 10

Bradford are averaging over a charge per game but the most severe of their charges was a Grade E sustained in the loss to St Helens.

6th: Toulouse Olympique – 10

The French side have been punished 10 times so far including a Grade D charge and one Grade C.

7th: Leeds Rhinos – 9

All of Leeds Rhinos charges have been either Grade A or Grade B in nature with Maika Sivo the latest man to cop a charge.

8th: St Helens – 8

Saints have only eight charges but three of those have been higher than Grade B, whilst four have been Grade B.

T9th: York Knights and Castleford Tigers – 8

York and Castleford are tied at eight charges a piece with both clubs having five Grade A charges and three Grade B charges.
