The odds for the Super League Grand Final have been shaken up after Leeds Rhinos’ win over Hull KR and Bevan French’s return for Wigan Warriors.
Round 23 was a significant one in the race for the Super League play-offs, particularly the top two. Leeds Rhinos kicked the week off by beating Hull KR but then all other challengers, St Helens, Leigh Leopards, and of course, Wigan Warriors, won.
It means the Robins lead the way by just four points now but do have a far superior points difference, almost 150 better than Wigan, around 90 better than Saints and over 200 and 400 clear of Leeds and Leigh respectively.
Whilst the Robins are fairly secure in winning the League Leaders Shield, they’re almost certain to finish in the top two, meaning that there’s just one spot up for grabs.
Having a home semi-final is a major boost in making it to Old Trafford, so with the race for second now firmly being three, possibly four teams, the odds to win the Super League Grand Final having changed.
This past weekend’s results have seen Hull KR’s odds drift slightly with Wigan also edging shorter in price, however, Leeds Rhinos and St Helens are the big movers with both sides a realistic chance at finishing in the top two, and also capable of beating anyone on their day.
Odds taken from Betfred make Leeds a 6/1 chance for the Grand Final with St Helens slightly larger at 8/1. Compared to a month ago, they’ve both shortened by four points, whilst Leigh’s chances have drifted from 11/1 to 12/1.
Warrington Wolves’ defeat to Huddersfield has seen them move to a whopping 500/1 having previously been priced at 50/1.

Hull KR won’t win again this season, it will be a toss up between Wigan and St Helens as to who wins the title, one will finish first, the other will finish third, Leeds will finish second, Hull KR will finish fourth, Leigh will finish fifth, Hull FC will finish sixth.
Your powers that be will not allow the monopoly of the big 3 to be broken. I am close to giving up Rugby League in the Northern hemisphere , I have no faith in the ability who run the sport to run it honestly. I believe it is run for the benefit of three clubs, possibly soon to be be four now Nigel Wood is back. I believe the playing field is level in the NRL, whereas in the RFL it is very much like the pitch at Batley on a cold wet Sunday afternoon in deepest winter.
