Wigan Warriors remain the favourites to taste Super League glory once more at Old Trafford later this year. Matt Peet’s Cherry and Whites have been the favourites to win the title throughout the campaign so far and despite sitting behind Hull KR in the league table, the bookmakers still see them as the leading contenders.
With nine league games in the bank, Sky Bet have Wigan as 10/11 front runners for Grand Final glory and that’s probably hard to argue with right now, despite their league position.
The Warriors know how to get it done in the closing stages of the season and they thrive in the biggest games. The win over Warrington Wolves in Las Vegas reinforced that point, as did the result they picked up against Hull KR at Craven Park earlier this month.
Rovers may be top of the Super League table, but they’re second favourites for success in the eyes of the bookies. They’re 3/1 with the same company to go one better than last season and lift the Super League trophy at Old Trafford in October.
The Robins are going strong in both competitions at present and with the heartbreak of last year’s Grand Final driving them, they’ve been a force so far. In fact, the aforementioned result at Craven Park is the only time they have tasted defeat this season.
Both Warrington Wolves and St Helens have struggled for consistency this season but the pair are considered joint third favourites to win the Grand Final. They’re both priced at 8/1 and that’s despite St Helens sitting fifth and Warrington occupying eighth at the time of writing.

Leeds Rhinos haven’t got going really this season, either, but they’re fifth on the odds list at 12/1. Brad Arthur’s side have won five of their opening nine games but turned in a much-improved performance in defeat on Friday against Hull KR and they’ll fancy their chances of a Magic Weekend win over St Helens.
Leigh Leopards are at 16/1, Catalans Dragons are 25/1 and it’s fair to say the bookies have not bought into Hull FC’s strong start to the season with the Black and Whites at 40/1.
Perhaps unsurprisingly Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils are both now priced at 1000/1 to win the title.
Predicted Super League table according to the odds

2. Hull KR – 3/1
3= St Helens – 8/1

7. Catalans Dragons – 25/1
8. Hull FC – 40/1
9. Wakefield Trinity – 66/1
10. Castleford Tigers – 500/1

Whoever came up with this lot must be watching something else, St Helens and Warrington in those spots? Not a chance. Typical underestimation of Leigh and both Hull clubs. Plus, a third of the way through, Hull KR lost one game all season, Wigan lost two league matches, one cup match, and they have Wigan overwhelming favourites.
