Nathan Brown has been making an impact in the NRL for over a decade but his time down under is set to end with the Manly Sea Eagles man reportedly ‘heading’ for Super League.
Brown, 33, looks to be the latest NRL player to make the switch to Super League with the veteran forward unlikely to land another deal with his current side Manly Sea Eagles.
The forward is in his third season at Manly, during which time he has made a total of 47 appearances, though he’s scored just one try.
He’s made 13 of those 47 appearances in 2026 with Brown remaining five games short of the 200 milestone in the NRL and it appears that he will only have this season to complete that, with a Super League move incoming.
Brown was previously linked to Catalans Dragons, whose recruitment has stepped up a notch in recent weeks with the news that John Cartwright will remain on at the French side.
Whilst not officially confirmed, Cartwright has said as such and the club have signed the likes of Tyson Gamble and Jesse Arthars for 2027, whilst others including Hame Sele have been strongly linked.
Should Brown also join, he would add yet more NRL experience to a pack that will lose the experience of club legend Benjamin Garcia, who is set to retire at the end of the season.
Reports of Brown’s Manly exit and impending Super League switch came from Scott Pryde of News Corp but it’s not certain that he will sign for Catalans, as multiple Super League clubs are reported to be in the for the Italy international.
Since debuting in the NRL back in 2013 for Wests Tigers, Brown has represented four more teams with his longest stint coming at Parramatta under Brad Arthur, where he played 109 games across six seasons.
